An important thing to consider that I think isn’t often written about when it comes to Dark Patterns, is it’s usually written about in the sense of the vexatious experience of ending a paid subscription to something as opposed to signing up. This reasoning should also extend to many other services that make it a big headache to terminate your relationship that aren’t paid too.
